The French Open is the second of the four annual Grand Slam tournaments, held over two weeks between late May and early June. The venue where it’s played is called Stade Roland-Garros, which has made Roland-Garros a nickname for the tournament.
It’s the only Grand Slam competition that is held on clay courts, and because of the long-lasting tournament without a tiebreak in the final set – the event is considered as the most physically demanding tennis tournament in the world.
The 2022 French Open is scheduled to take place May 16th – June 5th.
